1) I think I have a possible job in the Ecology department at the U of M, as well as a (HOLY FUCK AMAZING) mentor. This means not only will I finally stop feeling useless, but I can finally get a little buffer up to pay for some things on my own. Maybe even visit friends. This is huge. This makes me feel like a person again - and just so much better about hitting school up again in the fall (with a shiny new major)
2) Found out about my computer - Dad had zapped the motherboard. My laptop is fucked, but he’s paying for my hard drive to get transfered over. And he’s giving me his laptop - his very nice, very new laptop. No guilt included; no favors, no guilt-tripping. He can be pretty destructive and struggles with empathy and social norms sometimes but once he works it out he’s a really sweet guy.
3) Diana is my official valentine for 2012. Expect more kissgifs. Lipstick kissgifs. Everything is suits and nothing hurts and despite more or less dropping off the face of the Real World, in the past year I’ve made some incredibly supportive friends who I just want to thank for existing, among many others (Anne, Les, Kit, Lewis, Bali, Xetarays, Helena, and more.
Basically today was just super special and things feel really good and if anyone ever wants to chat, you should hit up my askbox for AIMs because I can’t think of a follower I don’t want to talk to. C: Hope you guys have as good of a week as I did.
